Staging Stasis

Staging Stasis at WORM was a co-initiated, performative exhibition and staged radio broadcast hosted by Radio Stasis, Lente Kabinet and WORM.

I performed SILENCE, a new work, developed during at residency at WORM with Natalia Papaeva.

Staging Stasis was also a radio residency programme initiated and hosted by Radio Stasis. The exhibition of live performances and a radio broadcast at WORM was the culmination of the programme's five residencies. Building upon the concept of Radio Stasis ie. a state of prolonged immobility caused by great radio, we tuned in to each pair - Jeanne & Marta got lost on the way to the venue, Natalia & Ceola shared their voices and their words, Kirsten & Meghan made small noises big, Tuana & Roberta spoke to plants and Miguel finally sent that message to Julia.

Staging Stasis was a radio residency established and hosted by Radio Stasis. In each residency two creatives were paired together to collaborate and translate their practice through the medium of radio. The residency focused on experimentation and Radio Stasis encouraged the residency pairs to open up their sonic sketchbooks and share their research, processes and works in progress.

Performers included Natalia Papaeva, Ceola Tunstall-Behrens, Miguel Guevara Parra, Meghan Clarke, Kirsten Spruit, Marta Ríos Pizà, Jeanne Rousselot, Roberta Di Cosmo & Tuana Inhan
